  • ANN WANJIKU

    Ann Wanjiku hails from Miharati in Nyandarua County and was raised in a devout Christian household by a resilient single mother whose dedication to farming sustained their family. As the second-born of five children, growing up alongside two brothers and two sisters. Ann learned early the values of responsibility, resilience, and the importance of standing up for others. Her family’s deep faith and her mother’s unwavering strength profoundly shaped her core principles of hard work, integrity, and service. Currently, Ann is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Kabarak University, a journey made possible through the life-changing support of the Rachel’s Hope Scholarship. By lifting the financial barriers to her education, the scholarship has validated and brought her lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer within reach. At Kabarak, she is actively developing vital skills in legal research, critical thinking, and advocacy. Driven by a deep passion for access to justice, family support, and a planned specialization in children's rights, Ann firmly believes that the law should serve as a shield for the vulnerable. She is deeply committed to becoming an advocate who truly listens and fights for fairness, using her legal training to create a lasting, meaningful impact within her community and beyond.

  • BLESSING MALUU

    Blessing Mercy Maluu is from Nakuru County, Kenya. She has two sisters, Happiness Gift and Jewinsly Dhamana. Her father supports the family through small business ventures, while her mother is a devoted homemaker. Blessing is deeply passionate about technology, justice, and the law, with a particular interest in how digital tools can be used ethically and responsibly. In addition to her technical interests, she has a strong love for writing and has authored several books, which she hopes to publish in the future. She aspires to combine her computer skills and writing abilities to educate others on the positive and responsible use of technology. She is currently pursuing a course in Computer Security and Forensics, a field she chose out of a strong belief in justice, accountability, and integrity in the digital space. Blessing believes that when used correctly, technology has the power to protect individuals, prevent crime, and bring truth to light. Her dream is to one day establish a community initiative that promotes technology awareness, cyber safety, and justice. Through her skills and passion, Blessing hopes to contribute to the fight against crime and help build a safer, more just society in Kenya.

  • DAVID GITAHI

    David Gitahi is from the small village of Eburu, where life is shaped by simplicity, faith, and hard work. He was raised in a disciplined, God-fearing home, values that continue to guide his character and life choices. David is one of five siblings. His parents are peasant farmers who work tirelessly to provide for the family’s daily needs. Growing up in this environment instilled in David the values of perseverance, humility, and unwavering trust in God, even during difficult seasons. Witnessing his family’s struggles has deeply motivated David and strengthened his desire to change the future for his loved ones. He carries a strong calling not only to succeed personally, but also to uplift his community and become a source of hope for others facing similar challenges. His vision is rooted in service, compassion, and impact. David is currently pursuing studies in Computer Science, a field he chose because he believes technology has the power to create opportunities beyond the limitations of background or location. Through this course, he is gaining practical skills in problem-solving and innovation that can lead to sustainable work and meaningful social transformation. He views technology as a tool God is using to prepare him for a purposeful future.

  • DENIS MUGO

    Denis Mugo Wambui is from Kinangop Constituency in Nyandarua County, Kenya, and was raised in a humble family alongside two siblings. His life took a significant turn when his father passed away while Denis was in Form Two (Grade 10), leaving his mother as the sole provider for the family. From that point on, she carried the full responsibility of raising her children through farming, often under very difficult circumstances. Her strength, perseverance, and sacrifice became the foundation of Denis’s own determination to succeed. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Kabarak University, a course he chose out of a strong passion for technology and problem-solving. Growing up in a rural setting, Denis witnessed firsthand how limited access to technology and digital skills can restrict opportunities for young people. This experience inspired him to pursue Computer Science with the goal of bridging this gap and developing solutions that can positively impact communities like his own. Denis’s dream is to become a skilled technology professional who can support his family and give back to his community through innovation and digital empowerment. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, an activity that has helped him develop teamwork and discipline — qualities that continue to guide him in both his academic journey and personal life.

  • DINOHS MURAYA

    Dinohs Muraya Gatinu, aged 19, was raised in a supportive family that instilled in him a deep commitment to diligence and self-improvement. He is the son of Josiah Gatinu, a dedicated scrub technician at Kijabe Hospital, and Rahab Muthoni, a hardworking small-scale farmer whose resilience has heavily influenced his character. Dinohs is the youngest of three children, growing up alongside his older siblings, John Gathere (27) and Faith Wamaitha (22). His academic foundation began at Luci-Amen Academy, where he studied until Grade 8, before transitioning to Karima Secondary School. Demonstrating a strong determination to excel, Dinohs later enrolled at Camp Brethren Christian School for Grades 11 and 12 to refine his academic performance, successfully raising his marks to secure a university worthy performance. This perseverance opened the doors to higher education, and he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Analytics. Driven by a desire to innovate and make a meaningful impact, Dinohs is fully focused on his studies, aiming to leverage his advanced technical skills to develop data-driven solutions that will allow him to give back to his community and society at large.

  • EMMANUEL EKARE

    Emmanuel Ekare, aged 21, was born in Kambi Turkana within Gilgil sub-county and was raised in a large, resilient household. As the sixth-born of nine siblings, growing up alongside six brothers and two sisters. Emmanuel was brought up by his single mother, Agnes Apuyo. A dedicated farmer, Agnes raised her children in a devout Christian environment that anchored Emmanuel's strong moral values and character. Emmanuel began his academic journey at Christian Believers Academy under a sponsorship from Christian Aid Ministries, successfully scoring 350 marks in his KCPE exams in 2020. He then transitioned to Rurii Secondary School for his high school education. When his initial sponsorship concluded during his Form Two year, his mother worked tirelessly to single-handedly fund the remainder of his schooling. Emmanuel completed his first KCSE attempt in 2024, earning a C plain. Driven by an unyielding passion for higher education, he made the courageous decision to repeat his final year at Camp Brethren High School in 2025. His remarkable perseverance paid off when he completed his second KCSE exams, elevating his mark to an impressive B which was a worthwhile score to get him to university. Currently, Emmanuel is a student at Kabarak University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Security and Forensics. His choice of study is fueled by a deep-seated passion to combat crime and inspire justice within society. Motivated by his mother’s extraordinary hard work, Emmanuel is fully focused on securing a bright future for her while remaining dedicated to empowering others in his community to achieve their own dreams.

  • EUSTACE MUNENE

    Eustace Munene Kariuki is from Pipeline, Nakuru County, Kenya, and was raised in a modest family environment that shaped his resilience and commitment to education. He has two siblings, and his parents, Alex Kariuki and Esther Kariuki, are both farmers earning a modest income. Although both of Eustace’s parents are alive, his upbringing was largely guided by his grandparents, who became his primary caregivers from a young age. Despite having limited resources, they made significant personal sacrifices to ensure he remained in school and focused on his studies. From primary school through high school, his grandparents faithfully supported his education by covering his school fees, demonstrating unwavering belief in his potential. Eustace has a deep passion for helping others and creating meaningful social impact, particularly among underserved and vulnerable communities. He is currently pursuing a course in Nursing, a path he chose out of a genuine desire to care for people and make a practical, positive difference in their lives.

  • IAN GICHUKI

    Ian Gichuki Ndegwa hails from Njoro in Nakuru City and was raised in a close-knit, supportive family that instilled in him strong values of discipline, perseverance, and hard work. He is the son of Peter Ndegwa, a former driver at Camp Brethren Schools, and Virginia Ndegwa, a dedicated farmer whose commitment and resilience greatly influenced his character and determination. Ian is the second-born in a family of three, with two siblings, Michael Mubinu (12) and Abigael Muthoni (16). Currently, Ian is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Kabarak University through the generous support of the Rachel’s Hope Scholarship. He has a deep passion for Software Engineering, with a particular interest in software development and emerging technologies. Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, Ian is committed to using his skills and knowledge to develop practical solutions that serve his community and society at large. He remains deeply grateful to Rachel’s Hope for the opportunity that has made his academic and professional journey possible.

  • JOHN CRISPUS

    John Crispus Ngugi, aged 19, hails from Morgen village in Eburru and was raised in a humble, devout Christian household that instilled in him the core virtues of discipline and diligence. He is the only child of Peter Ngugi and Anne Wambui. Following his parents' transition into separate households, John resides with his mother in a rental home, where she works hard as a receptionist at Camp Brethren Primary School. Meanwhile, his father operates a small business in Limuru to help make ends meet. Growing up in a modest environment, John became acutely aware of the challenges facing his community, particularly the lack of digital knowledge and limited access to essential technological services. This firsthand experience sparked a deep, lifelong passion for computer technology. Driven by this purpose, John is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, viewing his studies as a profound calling from God to gain an in-depth understanding of digital systems. He is firmly committed to using his education not only to uplift his family but also to serve as a catalyst for transformation, bridging the technological divide and empowering his community to thrive in the modern world.

  • JOHNSON KARAGU

    Johnson Karagu, aged 19, hails from the small village of Eburru in Gilgil and was raised in a close-knit family of six. He is the son of Francis and Pauline Kiragu, dedicated peasant farmers whose hard work and resilience heavily influenced his upbringing. Johnson is the youngest of four children, growing up alongside his three older siblings: Stephen (39), Esther (32), and Godfrey (30). His educational journey began at Cedar Primary School before he received a transformative sponsorship through David’s Hope International, which supported him from Grade 1 all the way through his primary and secondary education at Camp Brethren. Recently, Johnson transitioned to higher education and joined Kabarak University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology under the generous support of the Rachel’s Hope Scholarship. Driven by a deep passion for innovation and tech-driven problem-solving, Johnson’s ambitions are profoundly shaped by his roots. Recognizing that young people in his home community face limited access to the internet and digital opportunities, he is determined to develop a platform that bridges this digital divide. He aspires to use his IT expertise as a meaningful way to give back, empowering the next generation in his community and remaining deeply grateful to David’s Hope and Rachel’s Hope for making his academic journey possible. 

  • MARY NDUTA

    Mary Nduta Muiruri, aged 18, hails from Nyakinyua, a small village in Eburru, and was raised in a large, devoutly God-fearing household. As the eighth-born of nine children, she is the daughter of Peter Muiruri and Margaret Wambui, hardworking peasant farmers whose faith and resilience deeply shaped her upbringing. Known for her humble, polite, and respectful nature, Mary reflects the strong Christian virtues instilled in her by her family. In her leisure time, she enjoys playing football and holds a special heart for community service, frequently visiting and comforting the elderly in her village. Currently, Mary is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Kabarak University. Her choice of study is profoundly inspired by her roots; having witnessed many families and children in her village suffer from a lack of proper meals and dietary guidance, she developed a deep desire to intervene. Mary is firmly committed to using her professional training to mentor her community on healthy living lifestyles and to eradicate childhood malnutrition in her village. Driven by compassion and faith, she aspires to ensure the next generation grows up healthy and strong, leveraging her education to bring lasting physical and social transformation to her society.

  • MARY NJERI

    Mary Njeri Gicheha, aged 21, hails from Eburru village and was raised with a deep sense of purpose and resilience. The second-born of seven siblings, Mary faced significant family adversity from a young age following her parents' separation and her mother's struggle with mental illness. In the midst of these challenges, she was taken in by her grandmother, whose unconditional care and devotion sustained her. Mary’s path to a brighter future was later uplifted when she received the opportunity to join Camp Brethren Christian School through the kind support of Mary Njenga (CBM Director), a turning point that allowed her to excel academically despite her circumstances. Today, while her mother works hard as a hawker, Mary is pursuing a Bachelor of Education at Kabarak University. Outside of her academic pursuits, Mary finds joy and inspiration in reading and listening to gospel music. Her decision to become a teacher is driven by a profound conviction that education is the ultimate tool to break the cycle of poverty and give every child a fair chance in life, regardless of their background. Deeply connected to her roots, Mary is determined to use her platform to give back to her village. She intends to mentor and advise young girls on the risks of early pregnancy and early marriage—challenges that cut short the education and dreams of many in her community. Through her leadership and future career, Mary aims to be a beacon of hope, ensuring the next generation of girls can safely achieve their goals.  

  • MARY WACHUKA

    Macharia Mary Wachuka is a 20-year-old student currently studying at Kabarak University, a journey she pursues with gratitude to God’s grace. She hails from Gilgil in Nakuru County and is the eldest daughter in a family of three children. She has two younger siblings—a brother aged 17 and a sister aged 10. Her parents, who originate from Embu County and Nyeri County respectively, are hardworking individuals; her mother runs a small business, while her father is a small-scale farmer. Mary has a strong passion for learning and exploring new ideas, which has inspired her dream of creating innovative solutions that can positively impact her community and society at large. She is currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, a field she deeply enjoys and believes offers endless opportunities for growth and discovery. Mary chose this career path because it aligns closely with her long-term aspirations and her desire to build meaningful, technology-driven solutions that serve others. Through her studies, she hopes to grow professionally while preparing herself for a fulfilling career dedicated to positive societal change.

  • NANCY AMURIA

    Nancy Amuria hails from a large, resilient family of nine and was raised in a single-parent household grounded in strong faith and determination. As the sixth-born of eight siblings, with six brothers and one sister, she grew up under the loving guidance of her mother, Agnes Apuyo. A dedicated farmer, Agnes raised her children in a devout Christian background, consistently encouraging them to trust in God and work hard to achieve success. Nancy completed her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) at Camp Brethren High School, earning a C+ and securing her admission to Kabarak University. Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Education (Arts) through the generous support of the Rachel’s Hope Scholarship. Driven by a deep passion for education, Nancy views this scholarship as a vital opportunity to gain the skills needed to inspire the next generation. She is firmly committed to equipping her future learners with the knowledge and character to become impact-driven leaders in society, remaining profoundly grateful to Rachel’s Hope for making her academic and professional dreams a reality.

  • SHEM REREU

    Shem Sarunoti Rereu, aged 19, comes from Nairobi, Kenya, and currently resides in Shauri Moyo. He was raised in a devout, God-fearing Christian family whose foundational values of faith and integrity deeply guided his upbringing. Shem is the youngest of three siblings, growing up alongside his older brothers, aged 28 and 26. His father is a retired banker who has worked tirelessly to anchor the family, stepping in as the sole pillar of support for Shem's education after his mother tragically passed away while Shem was in Grade 11. Despite this profound loss, the family's resilience and shared faith remained unshaken as his father continued to support him through his final year of high school while simultaneously guiding his eldest brother through his degree. Driven by a lifelong curiosity about how technology shapes the modern world, Shem has developed a deep passion for tech-driven problem-solving. He firmly believes that pursuing a career in technology will equip him with the advanced skills necessary to eliminate digital illiteracy and bring critical tech knowledge to his community. Committed to leveraging his education for social good, Shem intends to use his professional journey to break down digital barriers, empower the next generation, and give back meaningfully to society and beyond.
