Rachel's Hope Scholarship (RHS)

A comprehensive university sponsorship and leadership program dedicated to producing Christ-centered graduates who are highly employable and impactful leaders.

Program Overview

The Rachel's Hope Scholarship (RHS) is a transformative initiative designed to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity. More than just a financial grant, RHS is a comprehensive leadership incubator dedicated to the top graduates of Camp Brethren High School. Our mission is to mold these promising young minds into Christ-centered, highly employable professionals who possess differentiated leadership and problem-solving skills.

By combining full university sponsorship with a rigorous four-year mentorship curriculum, we ensure our scholars don't just graduate with a degree—they graduate with a calling. They are equipped to become impactful, Bible-focused pillars in their homes, churches, and communities, ready to lead their country with integrity and skill.

To enable Camp Brethren graduates to lead their communities and country, grounded in Christian faith and empowered by a university education.

Mission

To enable all graduating seniors of Camp Brethren High School (CBM) with academic excellence, motivation, and faith in Jesus Christ to attend university and receive mentorship regardless of financial means.

Goal

To produce Christ-centered graduates who are highly employable with differentiated leadership skills and problem-solving abilities to serve as impactful Bible-focused leaders.

Program Scope

The program is specifically tailored to support high-potential students who might otherwise lack the resources to continue their education. By strategically partnering with institutions known for character development and selecting high-demand fields of study, RHS maximizes the future employability and leadership potential of every scholar.

Target Beneficiaries Graduates of Camp Brethren High School (CBM) with a minimum C+ score, financial need, and faith in Jesus Christ.
University Partner Kabarak University (Nakuru) – Chosen for quality degrees and Christian leadership focus.
Targeted Fields Engineering, Teaching, Health & Nursing, Theology, Agriculture, Law, and Medicine.

The Investment

Unlike traditional scholarships that often cover only tuition, RHS recognizes that true student success requires holistic support. This investment model removes financial barriers entirely—covering living expenses, technology, and mentorship materials—so scholars can fully dedicate themselves to their academic and spiritual growth without distraction.

About the Academy

The leadership curriculum is a crucial component designed to fulfill the program's goal of producing impactful leaders with a servant heart. This progressive four-year academy utilizes monthly classes, practical assignments, mentorship discussions, and annual retreats to build maturity and life-readiness grounded in God's Word.

Foundation: Identity & Self-Leadership

Discovering identity in Christ, biblical foundations, time management, spiritual disciplines, and emotional maturity.

YEAR 2

Community: Leading & Relating

Servant leadership, humility, building trust, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Includes community service projects.

YEAR 3

Stewardship: Money, Time & Resources

Biblical stewardship, generosity, contentment, tracking income/expenses, and avoiding debt.

YEAR 4

Multiplication: Leading Beyond Uni

Making disciples, spiritual multiplication, career path discovery, faith-work integration, and leaving a legacy.

Scholars receive a Certificate Award upon completion and upper-year scholars mentor younger students to foster active leadership.

The "Pay-It-Forward" Commitment

The RHS model is built on the biblical principle of stewardship and a sustainable cycle of service. To ensure that this opportunity remains available for future generations of Camp Brethren graduates, every scholar makes a solemn commitment to give back.

This is not a loan repayment, but a "pay-it-forward" pledge. Upon graduation and when financially able, alumni are required to support the program for a duration equal to the years they received funding (e.g., 4 years of scholarship = 4 years of commitment). This ensures the torch is passed to the next deserving student.

Service Contribution Graduates can fulfill their commitment by returning to Camp Brethren Ministries (CBM) to work as staff in an open position of need. This allows them to directly reinvest their skills and professional expertise into the very community that supported them.

Financial Sponsorship Alternatively, alumni can fund a scholarship for a future CBM student. This contribution (minimum $50 per month) directly supports the education of a needy student, closing the loop and keeping the vision alive.
