Please join us in praying for the work in Eburru and in praising God for the mighty ways in which He answers our prayers!
Praises:
- Over 100 donations have been received in the January to May period.
- Electricity has arrived at the clinic – vaccines are available and a baby warmer has been ordered.
- Four mobile health clinics to surrounding villages are now in place headed up by George. Greater availability to health care is now a reality, especially in one particularly poor area.
- The Orphanage dorms are finished, furnished and being painted. Plans to open in mid-May are on track.
- Dining hall is ready to use with benches and tables. Two jikos (cook stoves) have been installed in the school kitchen.
- Steam water is working great with the water flowing out at a fast rate. Getting fresh water at the school compound will soon be a problem of the past.
- School books will be presented to the parents at the opening session of school. David’s Hope provided additional funds and now each child will have their own books.
Prayer Requests:
- Scott Sweat is traveling to Kenya June 8-17 to spend 7 days with Pastor Steve. His goal is to research & determine future financial requirements, potential business opportunities, future projects, etc…
- Funding is needed for an oxygen tank to connect to the new baby warmer.
- Trenches need to be dug and pipes need to be laid to connect the new distilled-steam water source to the school. They will run 4.1 kilometers. There are many people working on this massive project.
- Pray for much needed rains for the crops.
- Inflation has hit Eburru, affecting many salaries & purchases. Pray for funding to continue to be available as people are led to donate to DHI.
