I just returned from a visit to Eburru and I had a chance to visit the family I told you about last spring; Mary and Andrew.

They have been in my thoughts and prayers this past year.

I found out that Mary delivered her baby at home and the baby passed away 3 days later.  So very heartbreaking to hear.

I learned that they actually have 3 children, 2 boys and a girl.

The girl, Nancy, is 6 years old and just started school at Christian Brethren school because she has a sponsor through DHI.

Her brothers, David and Justus, 3 and 7 years old, need sponsors so they can start school as well.

I was able to bring donated clothes to the entire family.

It was humbling to witness their happiness over used clothes

Andrew told us that he has been clean from drugs since I saw them last year and the home actually looked a bit better.

They had fabric cover on their metal frame sofa instead of cardboard.

Andrew’s brother owns the land they live on but we hope they can in time be able to find a small plot

where we can give them a hope home and they can begin taking proper care of their children.

This is just another example of how this ministry is bringing hope to the people of Eburru.
