Emmanuel Ekare, aged 21, was born in Kambi Turkana within Gilgil sub-county and was raised in a large, resilient household. As the sixth-born of nine siblings, growing up alongside six brothers and two sisters. Emmanuel was brought up by his single mother, Agnes Apuyo. A dedicated farmer, Agnes raised her children in a devout Christian environment that anchored Emmanuel’s strong moral values and character.

Emmanuel began his academic journey at Christian Believers Academy under a sponsorship from Christian Aid Ministries, successfully scoring 350 marks in his KCPE exams in 2020. He then transitioned to Rurii Secondary School for his high school education. When his initial sponsorship concluded during his Form Two year, his mother worked tirelessly to single-handedly fund the remainder of his schooling. Emmanuel completed his first KCSE attempt in 2024, earning a C plain. Driven by an unyielding passion for higher education, he made the courageous decision to repeat his final year at Camp Brethren High School in 2025. His remarkable perseverance paid off when he completed his second KCSE exams, elevating his mark to an impressive B which was a worthwhile score to get him to university.

Currently, Emmanuel is a student at Kabarak University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Security and Forensics. His choice of study is fueled by a deep-seated passion to combat crime and inspire justice within society. Motivated by his mother’s extraordinary hard work, Emmanuel is fully focused on securing a bright future for her while remaining dedicated to empowering others in his community to achieve their own dreams.
