Shem Sarunoti Rereu, aged 19, comes from Nairobi, Kenya, and currently resides in Shauri Moyo. He was raised in a devout, God-fearing Christian family whose foundational values of faith and integrity deeply guided his upbringing. Shem is the youngest of three siblings, growing up alongside his older brothers, aged 28 and 26. His father is a retired banker who has worked tirelessly to anchor the family, stepping in as the sole pillar of support for Shem’s education after his mother tragically passed away while Shem was in Grade 11. Despite this profound loss, the family’s resilience and shared faith remained unshaken as his father continued to support him through his final year of high school while simultaneously guiding his eldest brother through his degree.

Driven by a lifelong curiosity about how technology shapes the modern world, Shem has developed a deep passion for tech-driven problem-solving. He firmly believes that pursuing a career in technology will equip him with the advanced skills necessary to eliminate digital illiteracy and bring critical tech knowledge to his community.
