Ann Wanjiku hails from Miharati in Nyandarua County and was raised in a devout Christian household by a resilient single mother whose dedication to farming sustained their family. As the second-born of five children, growing up alongside two brothers and two sisters. Ann learned early the values of responsibility, resilience, and the importance of standing up for others. Her family’s deep faith and her mother’s unwavering strength profoundly shaped her core principles of hard work, integrity, and service. Currently, Ann is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Kabarak University, a journey made possible through the life-changing support of the Rachel’s Hope Scholarship. By lifting the financial barriers to her education, the scholarship has validated and brought her lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer within reach. At Kabarak, she is actively developing vital skills in legal research, critical thinking, and advocacy. Driven by a deep passion for access to justice, family support, and a planned specialization in children’s rights, Ann firmly believes that the law should serve as a shield for the vulnerable. She is deeply committed to becoming an advocate who truly listens and fights for fairness, using her legal training to create a lasting, meaningful impact within her community and beyond.
