The journey of the Rachel’s Hope Scholarship (RHS) 2025 cohort continues to unfold in encouraging and meaningful ways. As these students settle deeper into university life, we are witnessing growth that goes far beyond academics—growth in character, leadership, and faith.
Currently, the students are undertaking their Year 1, Semester 2 examinations, each managing a rigorous academic load while also engaging actively in campus life. Through participation in sports, clubs, and community activities, they are developing confidence, building relationships, and learning to navigate life with purpose and resilience.
One of the most inspiring developments has been their initiative to establish a student-led Leadership Academy Club, which has already grown to 22 members. What began as a simple idea has quickly taken shape into a platform where students are learning, growing, and challenging one another to lead with intention and integrity.
This initiative reflects the heart behind the RHS program—to raise leaders who not only succeed personally but also influence and uplift others.
At the core of this journey is a carefully designed four-year leadership development pathway, guiding students step by step into maturity and purpose. Through a combination of mentorship, practical assignments, and structured learning, students are being equipped to understand who they are, lead themselves well, relate meaningfully with others, and ultimately step into lives of impact and service.
As they grow, they are being shaped in values such as integrity, excellence, teamwork, discipline, and servant leadership—qualities that will define not only their careers but their contribution to society.
What makes this journey especially powerful is that it is deeply rooted in faith. These students are not just being prepared for the marketplace, but for lives grounded in God’s Word and guided by His purpose.
“Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example…” — 1 Timothy 4:12
As they continue through this season of exams and leadership growth, we invite you to keep them in your prayers—for strength, wisdom, and continued spiritual maturity. Pray also for the Leadership Academy Club, that it may grow and become a lasting source of impact within the university.
These young men and women are a testament to what is possible when opportunity meets discipleship. Their journey is still unfolding, but already, we can see the seeds of leadership taking root—seeds that will grow into lasting impact for their families, communities, and beyond.
