In April the lower school and the high school held Thanksgiving ceremonies with the community and families and there is so much to be thankful for. One of the greatest achievements and blessings is the huge increase in the number of students! Over 60 new students have joined the schools increasing the total number to 608 total students! Another big blessing was the magnificent KPSEA exam performance of the 6th grade students who scored #1 in the entire county! Four of those students scored in the very top percentage and 2 of those 4 are sponsored students from the most needy families. These results have generated a great deal of attention from the county and the nation and has contributed to the increase in the number of students!
The High School Thanksgiving ceremony celebrated the excellent results on the national exam as the school continues to perform near the top of the county and in the top 5% in the country. CBM also took the opportunity to announce and celebrate the first 9 recipients of the Rachel’s Hope Scholarship that were selected from the 2024 graduating class. One goal of this new program is to lift the CBM High School and attract more students who could receive the Rachel’s Hope Scholarship in the future. Each year we hope to increase the number of additional scholars beyond 9 so over the course of 4 years we will have over 36 Rachel’s Hope Scholars in the program
